Terms & Agreement

Quick Disclaimer: These Terms, like any other Terms ever, are subject to change without notice, and you and I are always bound to whatever they say, at the time that whatever event happened. That's super clear, right? I'm not required to notify you when any of this changes, and you'd likely be bored by the updates anyway... but do, of course, make it a priority to check back often and read the fine print.

It's ok, I know you wont.

By using Slick, you're agreeing to be a test-subject, where you may lose data. Slick and I are responsible for exactly nothing that happens to you (or your data) through the use of this app, etc. I'll try to keep the data "breakage" (Breaking Bad term that I'm pretty sure involves drug-dealing, but run with me here) to a minimum.

You agree to not commercialize or sell this product in its original or any derivative form, or to sue me when sh*t goes wrong, etc.

You're also not allowed to host questionable images (for now) while we're in test mode. While your collection code is technically private and not discoverable, there is no guaranteed privacy in these early days. Expect accidents to happen and *someone* to see your images. If nothing else, I'll be browsing early test users to see how the app is being used. For the sake of my eyes, please spare me. Later on, I absolutely want this to be a safe place for disposable galleries - but it's not there yet!

Super shady things like child porn, promoting violence, etc. will be grounds for immediate banning and reporting to the authorities (once flagged to the staff, which for the time being... is just me). Zero tolerance.

...

The next version of this may actually be written by lawyers :)

Privacy Policy

In short, Slick agrees to not sell your data, and to do everything in its power to ensure that no personally identifiable data (email, name, etc) is accessible by others. Privacy is important to me, and doing things the "right" way is a pretty fun challenge mode :)

We also make it possible to completely remove any trace of your existance in our system - with zero shreds of your personal data remaining behind.

Internally, we collect only the bare minimum of information necessary to allow users (people with Slick accounts) to connect and administer their accounts. We store it fully encrypted at rest, require authentication to see anything, and only use cookies for login purposes (to streamline the user experience). We don't store any sensitive data, tokens, etc, in the browser (cookies, localStorage or otherwise), and the cookies we do save are not worth stealing anyway (like: have you logged in before?).

For public users, we track nothing at all.
